This is Valentino Rossi's BMW M4 CS, a limited edition that pays tribute to the Italian driver

Valentino Rossi, nine-time world champion motorcycle racer and traditionally linked to the number 46, has just turned 46 and has received a very special gift: a special version of the BMW M4 CS called Edition VR46, which has been developed by the driver himself, as he has been an official driver for the German brand's GT3 team since 2023. But the most interesting thing about this BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 is that it is not a unique model that only Rossi himself can enjoy, but will be manufactured in two design variants called Sport and Style, each limited to 46 units.

As we said, Valentino Rossi himself was actively involved in the design process of these two models. The Sport variant features a Marina Bay Blue metallic finish with a prominent number "46" in Tanzanite Blue metallic on both sides of the vehicle. The Style version, meanwhile, sports a matte Tanzanite Blue Metallic body with the "46" in matte Marina Bay Blue Metallic on the sides.

Beyond the colour combinations, both versions feature details in the legendary bright yellow colour that has always been associated with Rossi in areas such as the outline of the BMW M grille and on one of the V-spokes of the light-alloy wheels (which, as in racing cars, indicates the position of the tyre valve). In addition, the roof is made of carbon fibre and is adorned with a large VR46 logo.

Inside, the changes compared to the normal BMW M4 CS are less noticeable, but Night Blue tones also predominate and areas such as the seats feature a Sao Paulo Yellow outline. All this is accompanied by the VR46 logo on the headrests and door sill trims.

Under the hood, a 3.0-litre engine with 550 hp

The BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 engine is the same as the regular version. It is a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder block with M TwinPower Turbo technology that develops 550 hp. This power is transmitted to all four wheels via an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and the M xDrive all-wheel drive system, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reach an electronically limited top speed of 302 km/h.
