The 3Cat platform has just launched Between four walls, a program in which architect, educator, and musician Núria Moliner shows us, in each episode, the home of a famous person while she chats. The format inevitably reminds us of the legendary The house of the famous by Julià Peiró, with the aesthetic and television spirit of the new times. In the fourth episode, Joan Pons from El Petit de Cal Eril begins by asking the presenter that, above all, he doesn't want this to seem like one of those programs posh people showing off her house. Well, the request didn't help much, and, all things considered, the result is quite this. Showing off the inside of homes has become an extremely exploited television genre. From the miraculous transformations of renovations to voyeurism and the display of luxury, including the purest and most innocent gossip, in the end we always end up in the same place. Showing off your house without reservation is a very intimate act, because the place we live in is a space that says a lot about us. Núria Moliner is a warm and curious interviewer who makes her visit feel lighthearted. And in terms of production and image, the program has been given a modern and very cute treatment that combines a vintage with the scent of Instagram filters, with the superficiality inherent to digital content.

Former footballer Bojan Krkic, actress and singer Carol Rovira, comedian Peyu, content creator Nina Urgell, illustrator Rocío Quillauaman and presenter Bob Pop are some of the personalities who open the doors of their homes and tell how theirs lives.

Núria Moliner's previous programme on the 3Cat platform was Animal architects, a cultural space for architectural dissemination in which the presenter spoke with professionals and analyzed their work, their approaches, and their careers, and even spent the night in some of the houses designed by the protagonists. The space maintained that language somewhere between exquisite and adorable, but also had the value of the cultural dimension. It's difficult to find programs that can delve into this type of content. Instead of recording a second season, the 3Cat platform has opted to create a new, more popular and typical, and also more frivolous, space in which we once again fall into the use of the figure of the famous in generic terms to achieve greater impact. The result is less interesting, more clichéd; they must consider it more commercially appealing.

A Between four walls Almost everyone lives in a beautiful, stable, welcoming, perfectly designed, stylistically exclusive world with considerable investments in select interior design pieces. In a social context where the serious housing problems of young people are constantly discussed, the show becomes a kind of parallel reality, an idyllic paradise typical of other countries where such dramas don't exist.
