The Castellers of Vilafranca give the best performance in their history

The Greens have completed the two 10-point castles and the 'clean' four

If there's one thing that brings out the best in the Castellers de Vilafranca, it's a challenge to their pride. Since San Félix, the green-clad team had endured a difficult few months, failing to achieve their goals, a stark contrast to the other Castellers de Vilafranca teams. Their last chance came on All Saints' Day, and there they displayed their full potential, delivering a memorable performance. Meanwhile, the Capgrossos de Mataró held back on their extra-high level, while the Moixiganguers de Igualada pulled off a 4 out of 9 with a lining, a feat the Niños de Tarragona couldn't match. A Vilafranca vindication

The Castellers de Vilafranca faced a difficult decision when choosing their castells program. Positive feelings during rehearsals led them to open with 4 out of 9 without a lining. total castle It has risen with good sizes, but without quite stabilizing. The green ambition has continued with the 9 of 9 with lining, a castle never unloaded. This Saturday's was already disrupted from the start, and a strong jolt in one of the towers sealed its fate once the enxaneta had completed one of the three fins. With the disappointment of the 9, the Villafranca team wanted to make amends with the 3 of 10 with lining and handcuffs. The three-handcuffed structure looked solid with lining and handcuffs, and the work was in a trunk that went from less to more, to unload it with relative ease.

The trio of premium castells was in the form of a 4 of 10 with lining and handcuffs, in a construction that put up a fight from the beginning. Mentality played a huge role in staying focused and securing the win. With the final eight-piece pillar, complete with lining and handcuffs, they achieved their best performance ever.

The shirts hold back the Bigheads

The Capgrossos de Mataró have once again experienced how a lack of shirts has prevented them from achieving their main goal. Thus, they had to abandon their attempt at a 5 out of 9 with lining. The group leader explained that preparing the human tower for the rehearsal had been difficult and that, combined with the limited number of their own castellers present, they were forced to rely on the basic structure again for their best performance. At this level, the Mataró team delivered a near-perfect execution and finished with a 5 out of 8.

Moixiganguers' debut of a 9-level tower

The Moixiganguers of Igualada made their debut at the All Saints' Day festivities with the main objective of building two human towers. They achieved their first with a 4 of 9 with a lining, which was their best of the season, although one of the rows ended up quite far inside the structure. The 3 of 9 with a lining, however, proved elusive. In the second round, they made an attempt that was prematurely dismantled. They returned, but it collapsed just before reaching its maximum height. This circumstance eliminated any chance of completing their first attempt at a 2 of 9 with a lining and handcuffs, and they finished their performance with a 5 of 8 and a 2 of 8 with a lining, commendably completing their first appearance at the Vilafranca festival.

The Children of Tarragona, stuck

The Tarragona Boys have been unable to resolve the problems that have plagued them since Sant Magí. Despite a good first round with the 7 of 8, they couldn't manage the 4 of 9 with a lined deck. The striped players made two disassembled attempts, both of which proved weak and disorganized. Thus, they end the year without any new decks, in what was supposed to be a season of relaunch. They finished with the two basic eights.

First attempt at pde7sf

The Joves de Valls team didn't want to keep their impressive work on the unlined 7-level pillar to themselves and tackled it in their final performance in Vila-rodona, after a quiet day of 7- and 8-level towers. The pillar rose steadily until the lifter was positioned, but it began to sway during the climber's ascent. It broke when it was behind the fifth level. Nevertheless, the team laid the foundation for a tower never before seen in the arena.

Debuts on the 8 levels

The weekend saw several new eight-level human towers (castells) in the mid-to-high range. Highlights included the 5 out of 8 by Castellers de Sants, the 2 out of 8 with a heavy lining by Sagals de Osona, and the 7 out of 8 by Xics de Granollers.
