Spanish government representative in Andalusia (PP) lashes out against Ciudadanos: “I don’t want to be ruled by Catalonia”

Yet another rift between the PP and Ciudadanos (C’s). Sparks flew on Wednesday evening when the Spanish government’s representative in Andalusia, Antonio Sanz, criticised Albert Rivera’s party at a local PP rally. Polls suggest that C’s may hold the key to government formation after the upcoming regional elections in Andalusia.

Mr Sanz stated that “I don’t like Andalusia to be ruled from Catalonia, I don’t want Andalusia to be ruled by a party called Ciutadans, whose president is called Albert. With all due respect, I do not want outsiders ruling Andalusia.”

Rivera was quick to reply, with a message on Twitter: “I don’t care what your name is. Make no mistake: Catalonia is Spain. Or does the PP think the same as Artur Mas?”
