Reproaches and slides to solve the Copa final ticket mess
A human error leaves thousands of Barça members and supporters without the ticket they had paid for.

BarcelonaWhat was supposed to be a great final for Barcelona fans is on its way to becoming a nightmare. And not for sporting reasons. The more than 27,000 Barça fans who travel to Seville to watch the Clásico against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey still don't know if they will be able to enter the Estadio de la Cartuja. This is due to an error in the allocation and distribution of tickets that affects only Barça fans. With 48 hours to go until the final whistle, the company One Box, hired by the Federation to handle the event, has admitted the mea culpa and says it's working to resolve the issue. For now, fans are starting to pack their bags without having tickets in their hands.
The problem is that the numerous Barça tickets haven't arrived correctly to their recipients, even though they had purchased and paid for them within the deadline. In some cases, they haven't received the email with the link to download the ticket. And in others, they've received one directing them to incorrect tickets, with other people's information and locations that don't correspond to what they had requested. Real Madrid members and fans haven't had the same problem, since the company that distributes their tickets is another one.
This is a "human error in the system" ticketing of the Federation in the administrative management of the list of those awarded with a ticket", says the company One Box in a statement, subcontracted by the RFEF to manage all tickets for the final. In the same text, it makes it clear that Barça "has no involvement or responsibility" in these events and assures that it is working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Although it cannot be guaranteed with certainty, it is hoped that the conflict will be resolved by this Thursday, or Friday at the latest.
Named tickets for the Copa del Rey final that, for now, do not grant access to the stadium.
The first emails arrived for the lucky ones on Wednesday. When they tried to download their tickets, they noticed problems with the names or ID numbers and locations. The team decided to delete all the Barça fan tickets—which was prevented as soon as they could be downloaded—while waiting to resolve the problem and upload the correct ones. Since the names or numbers were swapped, they wouldn't have been able to do so. While waiting for OneBox to fix the issue, Barça responded with a statement condemning the incident and threatening to take legal action if the club's legal services so advised.
