The clip showed Núria Garrido comparing having tenants with having a child.

BarcelonaAnother example of the Streisand Effect on social media. On Tuesday, Catalunya Ràdio broadcast a face-to-face interview between the spokesperson for the Village Union, Carme Arcarazo, and the president of the landlords' association Som Habitatge, Núria Garrido. A clip they made for social media went viral. Garrido was seen, among other things, comparing having tenants to having a child, because many obligations would arise. "You find out if they separate, if they get divorced, if their partner dies, if they lose their job, if they have a leak, if their boiler breaks down..." Her panelist reminded her that when someone charges money for a service, it's normal to expect service in return. However, that interview has disappeared from the official social media channels of the Catalan Audiovisual Media Corporation. The organization confirmed to ARA that it has preemptively removed the content from Twitter and Instagram after receiving a request from Garrido urging them to do so.

Corporation sources assure that this is a provisional measure, pending a legal verdict on whether they are obligated to do so. Meanwhile, the Renters' Union has recovered the video and uploaded it to its social media. Amid the controversy surrounding its deletion, the clip has gone viral again and has garnered more than 2,000 views. I like in just over three hours. One of the video's moments showed Garrido confronting Arcarazo and saying, "Is he jealous? Is the problem jealousy? Is the problem jealousy? What's going on here?"
