MG continues to focus on affordable electrified SUVs as a strategy to conquer ever more segments of the European market. The British-born Chinese brand now presents the brand-new MGS5, a 4.47-meter-long SUV that positions itself just above the current MG4.

The new MGS5 features a modern, sporty, and aggressive aesthetic, with a spacious interior and a 453-liter trunk capacity, and a wealth of technology that includes two large digital displays for the center console and instrument cluster functions, culminating in an ergonomic, rational, and modern design.

MG will offer two optional equipment levels for the new MGS5, called Comfort and Luxury. The base version includes 17-inch wheels, automatic headlights, navigation, wireless internet access, parking sensors, and a rearview camera, while the top trim level features 18-inch wheels, a 360° rearview camera, a wireless charger, and leather upholstery.

Mechanically, the new MGS5 will use two engine options, with 170 and 230 hp, which can be paired with 49 and 64 kWh batteries, and which promise theoretical ranges of between 340 and 480 kilometers in the European homologation cycle. kW in direct current.

Prices for the new MGS5 range from €32,990 (€19,900 if you take advantage of the brand's financing-related discounts) for the version with a 49 kWh battery and 170 hp of power in the Comfort trim level to €38,990 (€25,990 if you take advantage of the 64 kWh, 230 hp of power and Luxury trim level).
