Luz de Gas has new owners
Fede Sardà, the former manager of the Barcelona nightclub and concert hall, retired at the end of 2024


BarcelonaThe retirement of Fede Sarda At the end of last year, a new stage began at the Luz de Gas venue, at least as far as management is concerned. The aim is to carry out "a project that continues to exist", as Joan Sánchez explained to ARA on behalf of the new owners of the discotheque and concert hall, who are "working on a broad and renewed programme that will be presented in September", coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Luz de Gas. They will maintain "the commitment to live music" and will broaden the stylistic and generational scope of the club, as well as promoting the afternoon sessions that have already begun to take place since January.
The new owners of Luz de Gas, who have acquired the majority of the shares, are: Àlex and Cristian Gallardo, owners of Nördic Cerdanya (Puigcerdà) and, in Barcelona, of Jaleo, La Biblio, Bar Galán, La Maggiorata and La Ofi (BCN), as well as La Ofi (BCN); Joan Sánchez, owner of Nördic Cerdanya, manager of Les Teules and Palawan, and co-founder of the Idyllic Festival of the Costa Brava; Aleix Ramoneda, from the promoter The Project and co-founder and director of Idílic Festival; and Alex Recort, influencer and a businessman specialising in public relations. During this transition period, the new team also includes Fernando Vila, founder of Luz de Gas.
The new owners of the venue will spend the summer renovating "the infrastructure and the equipment" to revitalise the offer of an "emblematic" space for Barcelona's nightlife.
