BarcelonaThe seats VIP of the new Camp Nou and the telecommunications of the future Barça stadium are not the only businesses that the Moldovan Birladeanu family has recently done with the Catalan institution. According to the report The Newspaper As ARA has been able to confirm, Ruslan Birladeanu's son has also worked with the club in recent months. His father has woken up The doubts of the League within the framework of the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.

For his part, Andrei Birladeanu has mediated with the prestigious American brand Jacob & Co for the manufacture of luxury watches to mark Barça’s 125th anniversary. The collection is limited to 125 pieces made of eighteen-carat rose gold, the club's crest and colours. The price ranges from 100,000 to 150,000 euros. The young Moldovan introduces himself on his LinkedIn account as CEO of New Era Licensing & Merchandising OÜ, a company Registered in Estonia since August 2023 with a share capital of one hundred euros.

The name of Andrei's company (New Era Licensing & Merchandising) has the same root as his father's, New Era Visionary Group (NEVG). In fact, in official Estonian records, Andrei's contact address is abirladeanu@nevgrp.com, linked on the company's website from his father, who, on the one hand, was announced as Barça's telecommunications provider at the end of November and, on the other, is the one who paid 28 million euros last January in exchange for exploiting a few dozen seats VIP of the new Camp Nou. Under the first agreement, NEVG will have to work in a network with Masorange to develop a telephone operator for Barça members and fans and implement 5G technology in the future Barcelona stadium. And, under the second, in addition to the 28 million already paid, it will have to put in another 42 to reach 100% of the planned investment (70 million). Barça did not want to officially recognise the name of this company in the context of the operation of the seats VIP. It has been protected by confidentiality clauses.

The conviction for false passes of a Barça supplier

NEVG has its parent company based in a co-working space in the United Arab Emirates, a subsidiary in Spain with a share capital of 3,000 euros and its headquarters in a private home in the Sant Andreu district of Barcelona. The two directors of the latter company are Ruslan Birladeanu, implicated in a case of alleged fraud in his country, and Francisco Maza Sánchez. Regarding this last citizen, The Confidential The Andorran court announced on Wednesday that he was convicted in the late 1990s of making false season passes for the Pas de la Casa station, now part of the Grandvalira complex. The Andorran court found him guilty of fraud and document falsification and sentenced him to six months in prison. Maza's name appears on the mailbox of the building where NEVG has its registered office in Spain. However, there is no trace of professional activity for the company, defined by Barça as a "world leader in connectivity and infrastructure integration."

Coincidentally, the name New Era also coincides with that of the documentary series which Barça launched starting in the 2021-22 season, with Joan Laporta as club president. So far, two episodes of five and four chapters have been broadcast, respectively.
