BarcelonaMost people, when they encounter a musician on the subway, tend to walk right past them. Few slow down to listen, and even fewer stop to look at them. However, after what happened this afternoon on the Barcelona subway, more than one person will reconsider the next time a live song accompanies their journey to board the train, lest the singer be none other than Lildami.

This Wednesday afternoon, the singer from Terrassa stopped the clocks of those rushing to catch the train with a surprise concert at the entrance to the Universitat station. The stage, next to the entrance to the L1 line heading towards Hospital de Bellvitge, was already attracting curious onlookers an hour before the concert. From businessmen with briefcases to young people with gym bags, they read the sign promoting the Maleducats Festival, which Lildami is a part of with artists such as Estopa and Queralt Lahoz. The gossips left disappointed while Dami waited on the corner, receiving glances from some fan who recognized him.

When the loudspeakers began to fill every space in the station, the faces entering through Ronda de Sant Antoni spoke for themselves. Some expressed confusion, and others, with an almost imperceptible smile, anticipated that they would have a good anecdote to tell during dinner. However, there were those who did not break the routine of continuing on their way, avoiding eye contact with the singer.

About sixty people stopped in front of the Catalan trap icon, who in an acoustic format reviewed hits such as SupermarketAt the end of the concert, which lasted about 35 minutes, he came alive with his characteristic hip-hop with The Oat Dance, a single from his new album. To the sound of "My grandmother couldn't study Catalan, and now her grandson fills the square, a Catalan singer," some faithful sang excitedly with theUnstoppable Boy, while entire families of tourists with strollers and suitcases did nothing but dance.

The end of the performance was the most exciting moment: it was when there were the most people, the most people dancing, and the most cell phones flying overhead. But then, the audience, made up of passengers with completely different lives who only had in common the chance of being in the same place at the same time, slowly dissolved. As if, with the microphone cutoff, they automatically remembered where they were going before unexpectedly bumping into Lildami.
