BarcelonaThe many fans of the great Italian star and television presenter Raffaella Carrà will be able to say goodbye to her during the three days in which the funeral of the emblematic artist has been organized, which will begin today with a funeral procession and the opening of the chapel, as Efe reports from sources close to the family. This afternoon a funeral procession will depart from her home in Rome, located north of the city, and will end at the City Hall of the Italian capital, after several stops in places as emblematic as some headquarters of the Italian Radio Television (RAI) and the Teatro delle Vittorie. Afterwards, from 6 p.m. until midnight, the funeral chapel will be opened at the Town Hall and will remain open throughout the day on Thursday so that her family, friends and admirers can bid her farewell. On Friday at 12 noon the funeral will be held in the church of Santa Maria, located in Piazza del Campidoglio, where the Roman Consistory is located.

Raffaella Carrà, known for songs such asTuca tuca o Caliente, caliente died on Monday after a long illness that had not been reported to the general public because the star did not want to worry her fans, as Italian media have already published. The sudden death of Carrà has motivated the Italian presenter Milly Carlucci and the author of famous song lyrics Giulio Rapetti who have asked the Italian public television (RAI) to change the name of their studios in Rome and give them Raffaella Carrà as a tribute.

The petition has been launched by Carlucci in the last few hours on social media and a collection of signatures in favour of this initiative has already started on a well-known online platform. In this space, Raffaella Carrà recorded some of her most successful programs, such as Carràmba! Che sorpresa o Carràmba! Che fortuna. "I'm watching with emotion Carràmba! Che sorpresa on RAI Uno, and it would be nice to change the name of the RAI Auditorium of the Foro Italico in homage to the great Raffaella Carrà", commented Carlucci on social media. Rapetti, who is also President of the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers (SIAE), said that "not many words are needed to explain what Raffaella Carrà has represented for television" in Italy, according to Italian media. "Carrà is an absolute excellence that has given prestige to the company and our country in the world. I hope that this proposal, supported by the 100,000 members of SIAE that I represent, will be well received", he added.

Among the many tributes that Raffaella Carrà is receiving, the one that relates her to the LGTBIQ+ collective, which has always had her as a reference, stands out in particular. The screenwriter Enrico Cibelli claimed on Twitter to rename the bill against homophobia, known as DDL Zan and which is being debated these days in the Italian Chamber of Deputies, as DDL Carrà, because of the artist's significance with the gay community, a proposal that has received a lot of support in this social network.
