Italy has approved the use of Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine for children 12-17 years old, following the approval of Pfizer for teens. Moderna announced in May that its vaccine is safe and effective in teenagers, and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) recommended its authorization on over-12s.
