BarcelonaGeyse Ferreira arrived at Barça with the label of top scorer in the Liga F (then Primera Iberdrola) tied with 20 goals with the former Barça player Asisat Oshoala and was transferred for a good amount of money to Manchester United. Just one year after her signing, in the summer of 2022, she packed her bags for England. Her time as a Blaugrana was fleeting, despite the expectations that her incorporation from Madrid CFF had generated.

At Barça Geyse won a Champions League, a League and a Spanish Super Cup, but her time was discreet: 11 goals spread over 37 games. If the Cup cannot be added to that list of titles, it is precisely because the Brazilian was an involuntary protagonist in her team's elimination. Jonatan Giráldez lined her up in the round of 16 match against Osasuna, in which the blaugranas won by a resounding 0-9. But the Navarrese team would be what would finally happen in the round. The reason: the improper line-up of Geyse, who had accumulated a sanction from the last edition for having been sent off when playing with Madrid CFF.

Without pain or glory, at the end of the season, she would leave the Blaugrana discipline. The offer from Manchester United was a treat for the Catalan entity and the player also saw a change of scenery with good eyes. Between fixed and variable, her departure was estimated at an amount around 300,000 euros which, at that time, were record figures for Barça. Despite being announced with all honours at Manchester United, the English club now wants to get rid of the player only a season and a half after having signed her. The ways in which the English have tried to get rid of Geyse, however, leave the British entity in a very bad position.

The complaint from Geyse Ferreira's representative

As published The TelegraphUnited were accused of trying to sell the striker to clubs in the United States while she was attending her brother's funeral. The forward's agent, Luis Filipe Silva, told the newspaper that the player was in Brazil on permission from the club to say goodbye to her brother, who died in January, but that the club were not expected to use the opportunity to try to sell her in the meantime. "She is going through a very difficult time. It was clear that the club and the coach do not count. The pressure of being in a place where you feel that you are not wanted is very great. She needs to regain the joy of playing football and she does not have it for various reasons. United was the first to try to loan her when she was in the funeral.

The footballer, for her part, also wants to leave the United discipline. She made it clear in a message on her social networks this Sunday, after the game against Leicester, in which she entered to play at the end of the match. "Staying in a place where we do not feel happy is an agonizing and lonely feeling," wrote Geyse. "Every day it seems heavier and the simple fact of being there becomes a burden," he said, without making direct reference to the club, but with messages in which everything is understood.

One of the clubs most interested in the Brazilian is Gotham FC. The season in the United States begins in mid-March. In this eventful season with the team red devil, Geyse has only played in twelve games: he has scored one goal and provided three assists.
