EU economy's greenhouse gas emissions are projected to grow by 2.2% by the end of 2024.

Greenhouse gas emissions from the EU economy reached 897 million tonnes of CO₂ equivalent to the end of 2024, i.e., 2.2% more than in the fourth quarter of 2023, according to Eurostat data. During this period, EU GDP grew by 1.5% year-on-year.
