Emilio Morenatti and Marco Grob, headliners of the new edition of the Photo Forum Fest
Also present will be photographer 'YouTube' Marcos Alberca and the creator of the PhotoPills app, Rafael Pons.
BarcelonaThe Photo Forum Fest is being held from this Wednesday to Friday at the Montjuïc Conference Centre, with Emilio Morenatti and Marco Grob headlining the event. Morenatti (Zaragoza, 1969) is the chief photographer for the Associated Press and a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner for a series on the impact of COVID-19 in Catalonia and another on coverage of the war in Ukraine. As for Swiss photographer Marco Grob (Olten, 1965), he won an Emmy in 2011 for his photography series. Beyond 9/11, about the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, in the United States; he has also photographed Hollywood stars, including Robert De Niro, Uma Thurman, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Julia Roberts, and former and former US presidents such as Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden. Two other speakers will be the Dutch landscape specialist Albert Dros, and Mònica Figueras, who works on both personal artistic projects and commercial commissions.
The event's main themes include Bodaf Europe (March 26 and 27), dedicated to social and wedding photography; Family Time (March 27 and 28), dedicated to family and children's photography; and Life (March 28), where photojournalism and nature, travel, and adventure photography take center stage. Bodaf Europe will award prizes for these topics.

Two other festival protagonists represent emerging photographers: Marcos Alberca (Madrid, 1996), who will be speaking at the Life conference, has over 4 million followers on social media, where he posts everything from tutorials to photoshoots with strangers. You'll also be able to hear the testimony of Rafael Pons, co-creator of the PhotoPills app, which is used to plan sessions for astrophotography enthusiasts and has already surpassed one million downloads.
In parallel to the conferences, the festival includes a commercial exhibition covering an area of 3,000 square meters where major brands in the sector, such as Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Canon, Olympus, and DJI, will present their latest products, as well as some of the most prominent European laboratories. This space will host around 40 short, free photography and videography workshops where you can learn new techniques, learn marketing and business knowledge, and find inspiration.
