Born more than 25 years ago as a non-profit social initiative associated work cooperative, DELTACOOP has consolidated its own model of support for children, adolescents, and families based on proximity, quality, and commitment to the territory. Currently, the entity is made up of professionals who actively participate in a horizontal, democratic, and people-centered organization.

Over the years, the project has grown and evolved, adapting to the social and family needs of each moment, but keeping its original values intact: cooperation, professional quality, co-responsibility, and commitment to the well-being of children and their families. The cooperative has strengthened services linked to early intervention, emotional support, parenting, and community work, always maintaining a comprehensive view of families' needs.

Spaces for participation and shared work

Currently DELTACOOP manages various specialized projects such as the CDIAP (Child Development and Early Care Center) in Castelldefels, Gavà, Viladecans, and Begues; La Saleta, a specialized attention classroom for children with multiple disabilities at Casa dels Infants Ca n’Aimeric, in Castelldefels, and at Llar d’Infants Riu de Sons, in Martorell; the Family Guidance and Support Service in Gavà, Viladecans, and Martorell; participation in the Proinfància program of the "La Caixa" Foundation; and Tamaia, a family support service promoted jointly with the Castelldefels City Council.

For over 25 years, DELTACOOP has grown “with many hands,” shaping spaces for participation and shared work where everyone leaves their mark. This way of working, based on cooperation, care, and co-responsibility, is what continues to shape the project today. Because cooperativism is not just a way of organizing: it is a way of caring for, transforming, and building community.
