Passionate about history, Lloréns began his literary career in the 1980s with titles such as Catalina, the fugitive from San Benito,The other leprosyandThe Saga of the Damned. But his greatest sales achievements, both here and internationally, were I will give you the land(2008) andSea of fire(2011), both set in medieval Barcelona. They were translated in a dozen countries, and their works sold more than a million copies worldwide.

Nothing happens on the eve, published last November. It's a choral novel of love and betrayal in late-Franco Barcelona, ​​running to more than 450 pages. He acknowledged then that his age no longer permitted him to write more: "I'm excited to say goodbye to the readers, who have supported me so much and so well, with this story dedicated to Barcelona, ​​​​the city that has been the setting for my life and my work."

Born in Barcelona in 1931, Lloréns studied law, but his professional career took place in the entertainment world, where he was an actor, comedian, and showman. Later, in 1959, he worked as a promoter and representative of artists and as a producer of shows. In the entertainment world, he collaborated with Chunga, Pedro Ruiz, Moncho Borrajo, Julio Iglesias, Raphael, Lora Flores, Charles Aznavour, Patti Bravo and Sacha Distel, in addition to being the owner and director of the nightclubs El Papagayo and Don Chufo, and became vice president of the Federation.
