An international academic experience connected to industry
LCI Barcelona is the most internationally oriented school of design and visual arts in the country. This is aided by the fact that it has 23 campuses spread across five continents.

In Barcelona, LCI Barcelona is one of the focal points of the creative multiverse it has created over time. Today, it offers four advanced training degrees, seven university degrees, and 22 master's degrees in the areas of fashion, graphic design, interior design, product design, animation, video games, and photography. Representatives of LCI Barcelona emphasize that this global dimension is precisely one of the school's greatest added values: "Being part of the LCI Education network allows our students to combine knowledge, experience, and industry contacts around the world, which translates into a more comprehensive education and a greater ability to adapt to an increasingly globalized sector."
Currently, LCI Barcelona has 1,100 students, 40% of whom are international. All of them have various mobility options. There is the Erasmus+ program, which allows students to study a semester at prestigious European institutions with which the school has agreements. Furthermore, thanks to LCI Education's global network, they have the opportunity to undertake academic stays on other campuses around the world.
Hand in hand with the industry
Another element that LCI Barcelona students benefit from is the connection that the institution has with the business world and the creative industries, which, on the one hand, helps to reduce the traditional gap between higher education and the real needs of the corresponding sectors, and on the other hand, it enables students to work on real projects from their first years. According to the center's representatives, this fact "significantly increases student motivation because it gives them an immediate connection to the professional reality of their sector." And, they continue, "when students see that what they do in the classroom has a tangible impact outside, their involvement and enthusiasm multiply." They also add that "it makes them feel an active part of the industry from day one, as they not only learn theoretical concepts but also apply them to specific assignments from brands, institutions, and companies."
Working on projects with real clients also fosters a professional mindset from the start, as it forces them to assume responsibilities, meet deadlines, and adapt to the needs of the industry. This practical experience, LCI Barcelona emphasizes, "not only strengthens their confidence but also makes them aware of their own creative and professional potential." It also promotes the development of "a set of essential skills," including professional project management; time planning and the ability to adapt to unforeseen events; confidence in defending their ideas; negotiation and interaction skills with industry professionals; a decisive and innovative mindset; and building a network of contacts. These skills multiply exponentially because many of these projects can be developed within the creative multiverse created within the school, thanks to the specialties it brings together: arts, design and communication; fashion; video games; animation; and VFX. And, as LCI Barcelona representatives conclude, this cross-disciplinary approach "not only enriches their academic experience, but also gives them a competitive advantage when entering the industry, since companies increasingly value professionals with a broad vision and the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams."
LCI Barcelona is also characterized by having incorporated the only official degree in Photography taught in Catalonia
The school introduced the degree—which also includes video and AI applied to photography—in the 2023-2024 academic year with the aim of training versatile professionals capable of excelling in different areas of photography, from artistic creation to the commercial industry. It is also, the institution's representatives explain, a degree that stands out "for its multidisciplinary and contemporary approach; a specialization in different professional fields, such as fashion, advertising, documentary, artistic, editorial, and author photography; a connection to the industry through real-life projects, internships in companies, and collaborations with brands and institutions; a technology;
