3Cat premieres 'Experiment AÜC', the series that experiments psychologically with its actors

BarcelonaUnder the pretext of filming a horror short film, six young actors have taken part in an experiment to study their reactions to fear and scares. This is the premise ofAUC experiment, he docureality The series premieres today on 3Cat and will have five twenty-minute episodes, plus a sixth chapter that will be the horror film that the actors and actresses have recorded, without knowing that the directing team had set some terrifying traps and surprises for them to get genuine answers.

The series has been recorded in a building abandoned since the 80s that was a center for tuberculosis patients, with dark legends behind suicides. The group of technicians has also been a victim, and even the director, Josep Guijarro, a journalist specialized in unusual phenomena and who at the beginning of the first chapter says: "We prepared some traps, so that they could be really scared, what I did not expect is that I myself would be a witness and protagonist of some incidents that I cannot explain."

Guijarro acts as a guiding thread and comments on the images accompanied by Laura Falcó, who introduces herself as a "writer and expert in parapsychology", while members of the team explain their experiences on the set. The programme brings in various guests, as varied as Sara Artigas, a medium; Pedro Amorós, head of the Spanish Society of Parapsychological Research, and the psychologist Patrícia Cabrera, who rationally explains the reactions of fear. The six actors are Marta Amat, Berta Calvó, Pau Fernández, Alba Jubany, Ilian Pudev and Xavi Sánchez. Throughout the filming they are interviewed: "You go up floors and your energy goes away...", says Amat, and Sánchez finishes the sentence: "Consuming".

"We have all experienced paranormal phenomena, the whole team, every time I remember it I get goosebumps," explains Amat in an interview on The jungle. For his part, Sánchez says: "I have never been as scared as I was in that place." Guijarro, in the same interview, says: "Even the most skeptical, when the level of suggestion is such, even makeup artists or hairdressers, experienced things. There will be many surprises throughout the six chapters."
