The financing agreement has, unsurprisingly, sparked outrage from the Spanish right-wing press. The Country They're trying to cling to the "one size fits all" narrative to sell the idea that everyone wins with the headline "Sánchez activates a reform with another 18 billion." But on the other side of the spectrum, the total figure and the other regions don't matter a fig: this is about feeding the anti-Catalan machine. The World For example, it attacks by way of comparative grievance: "The government is whitewashing the 'privilege' of 4.7 billion for Catalonia." Who says it's a privilege? Well Chi lo sanoBecause the newspaper doesn't bother to mention it. Only inside are there references to some anonymous and vague "socialist sources." The reason, the ineffable The reasonHe opts for one of those convoluted formulations, also with unattributed phantom quotes: "Sánchez, with ERC, defies the 'anti-Sánchez' wave and strikes (yet again) at the PSOE." Between the quotation marks within quotation marks and the parentheses, I don't know if we're dealing with a headline or a hieroglyphic.

And, of course, there's no shortage of those who fan the flames with a verbal formula that's very much to the liking of Madrid: he boasts"ERC boasts of squeezing Sánchez with the new financing model," they write on the front page of theABC, placing the emphasis not on any informative element or fact, but on that alleged fascist attitude which they also do not deign to explain: he has done the buti? One baldA foot and a pipe? Oh, the boasting... In short, they're selling it as a monumental plunder, although media outlets like OK Daily They can't help but say that "Junqueras is screwed over" for having achieved only "Sánchez's 4.7 billion." In other words, Catalonia is robbing us, but only a little. I don't know if, as Francesc Pujols predicted, the day will come when Catalans will have everything paid for, but for now, we're barely even half-financed.
