'Riot Women'

British creator Sally Wainwright, mainly known for the drama Happy Valley, follows the adventure of five women in menopause who join forces to create a punk band with which they want to enter a local talent contest. As they begin to rehearse and write, the five women – a teacher, a police officer, a waitress, a midwife, and a thief – discover they have a lot of pent-up anger and share many experiences that make them angry. Punk as a vehicle for expressing female frustration was already explored in another British series, We are Lady Parts. In that case, the band members were a group of young Muslim women.

After closing the chapter of Stranger things, David Harbour, the sheriff Hopper from the fantasy series, takes the lead in this miniseries that explores a love triangle that will end with the death of one of the participants. The three vertices of the triangle are Floyd (Harbour) and Clark (Jason Bateman), two meteorologist friends, and Carol, Floyd's wife, played by Linda Cardellini. A black comedy that delves into midlife malaise.

'Young Sherlock'

One of the most popular characters in English literature is the detective Sherlock Holmes, who has also had multiple lives on screen. Guy Ritchie, who has already made cinematic reimaginings of him, produces and directs this series that narrates the origins of the iconic detective created by Arthur Conan Doyle. In this new version, Sherlock Holmes, played by Hero Fiennes Tiffin (nephew of actors Ralph and Joseph Fiennes), investigates his first case, a plot with international ramifications.

Following the trend of literary adaptations, Netflix has reserved for March the jump to the screen of a novel by Julia May Jonas about a woman's sexual obsession with a new coworker, Vladimir. Rachel Weisz plays the protagonist, while Leo Woodall, known for series like The White Lotus or One Day, is the object of her desire. "The protagonist's fantasy has to do with the power of desire. The invigorating, stimulating, inspiring, and revitalizing sensation she gets from her obsession with Vlad. She comes back to life in a way that had been dormant for a long time," Weisz explained about her character.

Steve Carell is one of the great comedy actors in the United States. Although he will always be associated with The office, this does not prevent him from continuing to look for vehicles for his comic brilliance. In Rooster, he plays a famous writer who moves to a university campus to support his daughter, a professor who has just been cheated on by her husband. The series, co-created by Bill Lawrence, mastermind behind other comedies like Ted Lasso, focuses on the complex father-daughter relationship.

'Imperfects'

'For one hundred million'

Movistar Plus+ / March 26

This year marks the 45th anniversary of the kidnapping of Enrique Castro, better known as Quini, the Barça forward who disappeared while heading to El Prat airport and was not found until twenty-four days later. Movistar Plus+ premieres a fictionalized version of the case, focusing mainly on the three men who saw the kidnapping of Quini and a ransom of one hundred million pesetas as a way out of the precarious labor situation they were in. Raúl Arévalo, Vito Sanz, and Gabriel Guevara play the three kidnappers.
