Even newspapers usually hostile to Sanchismo have signed—at least for a day—the dogs of merciless criticism. The day after everything, the front pages were often merely declarative, and this allowed two antagonistic newspapers like theAbc and The Country They were headlined identically: "The Great Blackout." It's a formulation that tends to exonerate Sánchez, since it places the cider under the broad umbrella of unforeseen eventualities. It's not hard to imagine that in the coming days the pens will be sharpened even more in the right-wing newspapers. Now, there was one that was going all out. And it did so literally, because the front page had no photo: it was all black—the calamity has been significant—except for two blank words: "Total Chaos."

Okay, let's talk about it. Obviously, for those who were trapped for twelve hours on a train or had to sleep in a sports center, the inconvenience was significant. The daily grind of people taking advantage of the disconnection was only a few hours away from hordes entering supermarkets with baseball bats, because the membrane that maintains social equilibrium is thinner than we like to think. What would they have headlined if things had gotten bogged down, say, for two or three more days? Without denying the effects, which were severe and call for reflection, it was necessary to headline with a certain proportion.
