BarcelonaAt least 238 media professionals have been killed in Gaza by Israeli forces since Netanyahu began responding to the Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023. Under the slogan "Israel does not want witnesses to the genocide," several organizations have called for a demonstration this Wednesday in Barcelona. ARA (Argentine National Association of Journalists) joined the event to jointly express its condemnation of these military actions, which violate international law, which specifies that journalists cannot be targets of war.

Among the supporting organizations, in addition to this newspaper, are the Catalan Association of Journalists, the Ramon Barnils Journalists Group, the professional councils of TV3 and Catalunya Ràdio, unions such as CCOO, UGT, SPC, UPIFC, and CGT, the Ciutadella Collective (which brings together ) of the Catalan News Agency (ACN), among others. During the event, which also bears the slogan "To remain silent is to be complicit," a manifesto of condemnation will be read.

The protest was sparked by the umpteenth chapter of attacks targeting journalists in the Strip, precisely when Netanyahu announced the imminent dam of Gaza City.
