Without stability, there is no future to planSince we were very young, they have taught us that life is like a circle: you have to study to get a job that will allow us to become independent and form a family. For many young people, however, this path is no longer a straight line, but a labyrinth full of uncertainties.

Planning your long-term life has become a privilege rather than an option. How can you think about the future when the present is already unstable?

Personally, at 22 years old, I study and work full-time, without knowing when I will manage to leave home and be able to start my independent life. I see the end of my degree approaching, but I don't think it will be enough.

Nowadays, there is a lot of competition, which also influences the difficulty for young people to get jobs that pay us proportional salaries to be able to leave home. How many degrees will I have to get to earn enough to buy my first home?

Perhaps we need to reconsider whether we are demanding long-term decisions from new generations in a context that does not allow it. Because it is not a lack of responsibility, but a reality that has changed.

Júlia Torres RosellóCerdanyola del VallèsSant Jordi beyond the listsEvery year, with the arrival of Sant Jordi, predictions are made about which books will be bestsellers, driven by editorial recommendations. These selections, often dominated by big names and marketing campaigns, end up marking a good part of the cultural consumption of these days.

Beyond the most media-friendly titles, there is a large number of books that are left out of the spotlight. Works by lesser-known authors, small publishers, or more personal projects that hardly appear on the lists, but which bring richness and diversity to the literary landscape.

Sant Jordi could be an opportunity to look beyond the rankings, opt for different readings, and discover voices that often remain invisible. Claiming this diversity is, in essence, a way to reinforce the cultural value of the day.

It is not about being for or against a war that not even adults understand. Well, yes, we do understand it: it all revolves around geopolitics, oil, and economic power.

Thousands of creatures have been left with nothing. Some have lost a father, a mother, siblings… And they, no matter how much we try to explain it to them, will continue to not understand why the people they loved most have been taken away from them.

I imagine the eyes of these creatures seeing people die, or how homes, hospitals, schools are now a pile of rubble. And I ask myself: why does no one delve into their sad, confused, incomprehensible gaze?

Martin Luther King said in one of his speeches: “I have a dream”. I also have one: that all wars stop, so that the gazes of all creatures can smile again.
