The rebels in the Tigray region, in northern Ethiopia, announced this Wednesday the start of a "defensive war" against the forces of the central government. A civil war that caused 600,000 deaths between 2020 and 2022, according to the African Union mediator, Olusegun Obasanjo, is erupting once again.
