US Congress congratulates Trump for denying sending Epstein

The president sent a drawing of a naked woman to the pedophile for his 50th birthday, according to documents received by congressional Democrats.

WashingtonDonald Trump had denied the existence of the greeting he sent to Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday in which he had made a drawing of a naked woman. In July, when the Wall Street Journal reported its existence, the US president attacked the newspaper, accusing it of lying. Enraged, Trump sued the newspaper, owned by Rupert Murdoch, for defamation, as the tycoon claimed he had never sent such a greeting. On Monday, a congressional committee saw the greeting in question with its own eyes after lawyers for Epstein's heirs delivered a copy of the billionaire's 50th birthday greeting books, which includes the letter with Trump's signature.

In the drawing, which the House Oversight Committee shared on its official account, the figure of a naked woman can be seen with the word "Donald" written below her waist. The line is made with thick black ink and includes a text quoting an imaginary conversation between Trump and Epstein, with Trump's distinctive signature at the level where his pubic bone would be. The publication of the image once again fuels the controversy. The ghost of Trump's relationship with Epstein, the billionaire convicted of child trafficking and sexual abuse who was found dead in his cell in 2019.

"The Oversight Committee has obtained the infamous Anniversary Book, which contains a note from President Trump that he himself has said doesn't exist. It's time for the president to tell us the truth about what he knew and to make all of Epstein's files public. The American people are demanding answers," he said. in a statement Democratic Congressman Robert Garcia, who heads the committee.

Garcia assures that committee members are reviewing the contents of the book and other additional documents to determine the full scope of the implications, and that they will later make the results of their investigation public. "It doesn't matter who you are, how powerful, wealthy, or well-connected you are: if you are involved in the abuse of young women and girls, or have any connection to any of the files we receive, you will be held accountable," the text concludes.

During the campaign, Trump stirred conspiracy theories surrounding the existence of an alleged Epstein list that included the names of important politicians, including the Clintons. What the Republican did not expect was that the conspiracy he had been fueling will blow up in his face this summer and threatened to provoke a riot among his own MAGA bases.

As Trump himself has acknowledged, he maintained a close relationship with Jeffrey Epstein for fifteen years, but he has always denied having any involvement in the child sexual abuse cases for which the billionaire was convicted. When the Department of Justice announced in early July that it would not publish the papers because it could not find the alleged Epstein list or evidence to support the conspiracy theories, the MAGA bases pointed to their leader as a possible suspect. In June, during the stormy divorce from Elon Musk, the South African had already accused Trump of appearing in the Epstein papers. "Time to drop the big bomb: Donald Trump appears in the Epstein papers. That is the reason they have not been published," he wrote to X.

Since then, Trump has become a cornered pop star who has not stopped throwing ink left and right with the intention. The trickle of information about the close relationship between Trump and Epstein has only become more entangled with the president's conspiracy theories and denials. In recent weeks, thanks to the meeting with Vladimir Putin in Alaska and the deployment of the National Guard in Washington, the Epstein case had once again been somewhat buried. But now the publication of the congratulatory message threatens to put the case back in the spotlight.
