At least ten people were killed Tuesday at a high school in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, Canada, when a gunman opened fire inside the school, according to police sources cited by the EFE news agency. The suspected shooter was among the dead. Six of the victims were found inside the school, while two more bodies were discovered in a house believed to be connected to the attack. Approximately 25 people were also injured in the shooting and are being treated at the local medical center, while two others were airlifted to hospitals with critical injuries. No further details about the victims have been released, and it is only known that the attacker committed suicide after the shooting. Police are searching homes and properties in the town, located about 1,150 kilometers northeast of Vancouver, to ensure there are no more victims and have ruled out any other suspects. "As part of the initial response to the active shooting, police entered the school to locate the threat. During the search, officers located several victims. A person believed to be the shooter was also found dead, and it appears to be a self-inflicted injury," said Poli. The town has 2,400 inhabitants.
