The Irish police intercept an explosive device destined for Northern Ireland

The Irish police have intercepted a car loaded with an explosive device as it was heading towards Northern Ireland, where it was allegedly to be used in an attack. Two people have been arrested in an operation against dissident republicanism. The investigation, however, continues.
