Keiko Fujimori, officially proclaimed president of Peru

Keiko Fujimori has been officially declared president of Peru after the country's electoral authority approved the election results from a month ago. The right-wing candidate, daughter of dictator Alberto Fujimori, beat left-wing rival Roberto Sánchez by 49,641 votes.
