Israel forces the withdrawal of twenty British diplomats from the East Jerusalem consulate

The diplomatic tension between Israel and the United Kingdom has risen one step further with the agreement, announced today, to reduce and rename the British consulate in East Jerusalem, in the occupied territory of the West Bank. The representation, founded almost 200 years ago, will not close, but it will lose a good part of its function.
