At least two dead in a drone attack in the Moscow region

The offensive coincides with the last day of the legislative elections

BarcelonaTwo people have died and six others, including two minors, have been injured this Sunday in the Moscow region due to a Ukrainian drone attack during the main day of the parliamentary elections in Russia, as reported by Efe. The governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, has stated that the fatalities are a 44-year-old woman and an elderly man who were at home at the time of the attack.

According to the mayor of the Russian capital, Sergei Sobyanin, this is the most significant attack recorded in Moscow. In fact, during this Saturday's session, more than 1,600 drones were shot down in the vicinity of the capital. "The largest drone attack ever perpetrated against Moscow by enemies has been repelled," Sobyanin wrote on social media. The drones that did end up impacting hit an oil refinery and a residential building. According to the mayor, the attack aimed to influence the Russian legislative elections, which began on Friday and will conclude tonight.
