The number of less polluting cars has doubled in Catalonia but still represents less than 10%.

The Catalan vehicle fleet consists of 5.5 million vehicles, 7% of which are alternatives to purely combustion engines, whether electric or hybrid, according to data from the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) from 2024. Despite this being a low percentage, there are twice as many vehicles of this type today as in 2021.
