  • Having fully exhausted unemployment benefits
  • Have a monthly income of less than 810 euros
  • Be registered as a job seeker and have signed the declaration of active job search
  • Prove at least 15 years of contributions, of which at least 2 must have occurred in the last 15 years
  • Submit the application within a maximum period of six months from the end of unemployment

Amount, duration and conditions

This benefit is tiered, as it aims to encourage reintegration into the labor market. In the first six months, claimants will receive €570 per month. From the seventh month until reaching one year, it will be €540, and from the 13th month, they will receive €480. The benefit starts at the highest level and progressively decreases, but is maintained for an extended period to provide financial support while continuing to search for work.

Since April, it is no longer necessary to wait a month after exhausting unemployment benefits to apply for this benefit. The requirement to file a household income tax return has also been eliminated, and it is compatible with temporary or occasional work, as long as the monthly income does not exceed €810.

How to apply for the €570 SEPE benefit

This aid can be requested in two ways: either in person, by going to a SEPE office with an appointment, or online through this link.

To do this, you must provide your DNI or NIE (National Identity Document), a social security contributions certificate, an updated employment history report, a bank document proving account ownership, and a signed declaration of active job search.

It's important to remember that failure to comply with the established obligations (regularly renewing your job application or commitment to actively search) may result in the loss of your benefit or its temporary suspension. Although the personal income limit is 810 euros, the SEPE (Spanish Social Security Institute) also considers other items as eligible income: this would be the case for pensions, rental income, profits from economic activities, bank interest, or any income from private activities.
