BarcelonaThe Catalan company Isdin –specializing in dermatology and photoprotection– will establish the largest logistics facility in the company's history in Martorelles (Vallès Oriental). Specifically, they will build a hub of approximately 22,000 square meters with the aim of supporting the company's international growth. In a statement, Isdin assured this Friday that the new facilities will centralize a "very significant" part of the company's logistics operations, reinforcing Barcelona's role as the "nerve center of its global logistics".

The company, which has not specified the total investment amount, has assured that it expects the hub to be operational by the second half of 2027. Isdin's CEO, Juan Naya, highlighted that this investment responds to the company's future plans and will allow them "to be more efficient and agile in serving customers worldwide". "We are building the foundations for the next decade of growth, reinforcing Barcelona's strategic role as our global operations center", he said.

Once operational, the building –which will be developed by Segro– will feature photovoltaic panels on the roof, with a power of 275 kWp, and will have an intelligent BMS management system capable of controlling all installations in real-time to maximize energy efficiency and optimize consumption. It will also incorporate charging points for electric vehicles. As explained by the warehouse developer, the hub will have 25 loading docks, 2 level access ramps, a 35-meter maneuvering platform, and a minimum internal clear height of 11.50 meters. Additionally, it will include technical specifications for a high fire risk level (level 8).

Segro's general director, David Alcázar, also assured that "this new development responds to the company's sustainable growth strategy, prioritizing the regeneration of existing industrial logistics land". Specifically, the new center will be built on the 36,000 m² plot, formerly occupied by the company Valeo, in the Can Roca industrial estate in Martorelles.
