The investment figures for this year do not include the two macro-projects Consum is working on to consolidate its presence in Catalonia. In this regard, the group continues to negotiate to obtain the necessary permits to create a new logistics center of approximately 100,000 square meters in Montcada i Reixac (Vallès Occidental) and to build a new logistics platform in the Zona Franca of Barcelona. Both facilities – with an estimated aggregate investment of over 250 million euros – would also allow the cooperative to strengthen its commercial strategy, based on acquiring products from local suppliers.
