BarcelonaCellnex has finalized the sale of its data center business in France to Vauban Infra Fibre (VIF) for €391 million, the company announced on Friday. With this transaction, the telecommunications infrastructure manager completes the deal it announced last October. The transaction is being carried out through its subsidiary Cellnex France, which is transferring 99.9% of the capital of Towerlink France, the entity responsible for the group's main data center operations in the country, as reported by Cellnex to the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). The closing of the deal follows approval from French authorities regarding foreign direct investment. It was also completed after fulfilling all customary conditions for this type of transaction, including the information and consultation process with employee representatives in France. The sale has been settled entirely in cash, as planned since the initial announcement, the company reported. Cellnex announced the transaction on October 17, 2025, when it reported the signing of a put option agreement with Vauban Infra Fibre for this transfer. At that time, the telecommunications infrastructure group explained that the divestment in France was part of its strategic focus and was subject to regulatory approvals and the corresponding labor procedures, which have now been completed.
