Cabosanroque's theatre (Laia Torrents and Roger Aixut) has eluded theatrical conventions by moving towards visual and sonic proposals that are very difficult to classify. A performative theatre that develops musicovisual artefacts playing with tempos and metrics, with sound and silence in fully contemporary scores and scenic spaces of strong plasticity. In their creative territory there is a deliberate absence of literature, although they have made shows about Verdaguer, Rodoreda and Brossa with little human presence. This changes in Mil tres, say cheese, a kind of stimulating contemporary opera based on the character of Don Juan and the music of Mozart.
The proposal is much like a staged concert that works on the magnificent performance of the six young singers and musicians, who exhibit admirable sensitivity and commitment under an excellent musical direction. Cabosanroque looks at Don Giovanni to emphasize that the donjuanism and machismo that derive from it are not things of the past. And it makes this clear with a version of the much celebrated Tití me preguntó by Bad Bunny, not far removed from Mozart's aria Madamina, il catalogo è questo, and concludes it with a chilling recreation of images of Plácido Domingo singing with young partners the La ci darem la mano by Chopin with a fascinating Irina Soriano on the piano.
