Barcelona"Eufònic was created from the Terres de l'Ebre; the connection with the territory has been there from the beginning," says Vicent Fibla, director of the Eufònic festival, whose program is concentrated mainly from July 10 to 13, with Amposta as its main venue. This is the fourteenth edition of the festival, which combines concerts in unique spaces, art installations, and performances, and which, in total, has programmed 70 artists spread across 35 spaces.

The opening ceremony will be this Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Amposta, with a cruise along the Ebro River and a performance by Canadian artist Lina Choi, followed by a dance performance. Screwed alterationAmong all the activities, the highlight is the performance by Blanca Paloma, who will present a new imaginary folklore project with José Pablo Pablo on Friday. On Saturday there will be a performance conference, Cannibal map, a journey into the anthropology of the Ebro Delta and its communities, curated by Camila Sanjinés. The Amposta auditorium will feature ambient and cinematic music by Mexican Murcof, visual electronic music by Hyetal & R3N, and the year's poetic-musical show featuring Mireia Calafell and Nil Ciuró, with lighting by Oscila.

The Baix Ebre fire, which has already burned more than 3,000 hectares, has affected the festival's programming, which has had to cancel this Wednesday's activities at the Ebro Observatory in Roquetes: the show by Néstor Calderer and Edu Comelles, the Wilko session and Moment 0.9 Edith Alonso and Elena Júarez. "We can't help but cancel it," explains Fibla. She says this last show was specifically planned to take place at the observatory and, for this very reason, they can't reschedule it anywhere else. The organizers are monitoring the progress of the fire and will communicate any changes that may occur through social media. Aside from these two cancellations, the rest of the program will take place as planned. The festival sends "its best wishes to all the people working to put out this fire."
