BarcelonaIn an event held in Montserrat, the winners of the 60th edition of the Crítica Serra d'Or awards were announced this Wednesday. Núria Perpinyà received the award for best novel with "El cos invisible"; Raül Garrigasait, the one for essay with "La roca i l'aire. Art i religió de Llull a Tàpies", and Sebastià Alzamora, the one for poetry with "Sala Augusta". And the award for best translation goes to Anna Casassas for the translation of "Germinal", by Émile Zola.

As reported by ACN, after receiving the award, Núria Perpinyà defined El cos invisible" as "a tribute to that which is not seen". Raül Garrigasait explained that the essay La roca i l'aire captures a recurring idea according to which "that which is furthest is that which is closest to us and that which is closest to us are the deepest roots". And Sebastià Alzamora, in a speech marked by emotion, dedicated the award to the memory of Josep Piera, as well as to all the dead who inhabit his poetry collection, among whom are the victims of fascism, "both those of yesterday and those of today". Alzamora warned of the danger of the return of "old dragons" that threaten poetry, art, democracy, and the Catalan language, and advocated for the need to defend words and language as a space "of resistance and memory".

In children's literature, the award went to Cartes imprevistes", with text by Tina Vallès and illustration by Mercè Galí, and in youth literature, Només el vent", by Raimon Portell. The Crítica Serra d'Or Coneixements award recognized Canta-me’n una! Canta-me’n dues", compiled by Miqui Giménez, with texts by Vanesa Amat and illustration by Maria Girón. The award for best comic went to Weimar. Temps incerts", by Txuss Martin, Pau Pedragosa and Rafael Morata, and for best children's comic, És una bruixa? Mites, mentides i realitat", by Raquel Gu. 

In the field of research, David Ginard Féron was awarded in the humanities category for Contra Franco i Falange and in the science category, El carro de fenc. De l’ofensiva contra la natura a un canvi de vida global", by Jaume Terradas, was recognized. The Crítica Serra d’Or de catalanística 2026 award was given to Simone Sari, for the translation into Italian of the "Enchiridion Theologicum Lullianum" and her work in disseminating Catalan medieval literature in Italy.

In performing arts, El amor venía con taxi, by La Cubana, has won the award for best show, and the awarded dance show has been Desde by Quim Bigas. And the award for the trajectory of the performing arts has been for L'Estruch. Fábrica de Creación de las Artes en Vivo de Sabadell.
