Guatemalan journalist José Rubén Zamora, who has been in pretrial detention since 2022, will receive the 16th Antoni Traveria Award for Freedom of Expression in Latin America from Casa Amèrica Catalunya. The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, September 17, and his son, José Carlos Zamora, will accept the award.
