Clara Sans recommends the book that accompanies her in her mourning process
The actress has taken advantage of the summer to discover one of the literary phenomena of the last year, 'You Will Eat Flowers'
BarcelonaClara Sans is one of the Catalan actresses who has accumulated the most television projects in recent years. The Barcelona native doesn't stop chaining series: Cardo, Celeste, Mamen Mayo, and this summer she will premiere the miniseries Toda la verdad de mis mentiras, for Netflix. In addition, she has joined the second season of the comedy Furia and is already preparing a film for September. All in all, this summer she has had time to rest, as she has not had any filming, and has taken the opportunity to readComerás flores, by Lucía Solla Sobral and published by Libros del Asteroide. The actress recommends the book, although she admits that she herself had doubts when she chose it because of the subject it deals with.
"It's a book that talks about grief, and initially, I didn't know if I wanted to read it because I'm going through a grieving process. But the truth is that it's helping me a lot, it's accompanying me in this difficult time," says the actress, who recently lost her father. Sans explains that right now she feels a strong need to express and tell people that she is going through grief. She assures that she feels fortunate to have a network of friends who are supporting and accompanying her in this situation, always respecting her pace.
Comerás flores has been one of the literary phenomena of recent months and a true publishing surprise. In early 2025, the debut author Lucía Solla Sobral sent the manuscript to Libros del Asteroide without much hope of it being published, but her personal voice and the literary quality of the text convinced editor Luis Solano. The protagonist of Comerás flores is Marina, a young woman who has just graduated and lost her father. In this moment of vulnerability, she falls in love with an older man who, with great promises of love, ends up erasing her.
