Dolly Parton recovers from health problems
The North American singer had to cancel some performances in Las Vegas
BarcelonaDolly Parton has wanted to reassure her fans, and the music world in general. In an interview with People magazine, the American singer-songwriter recalls that in May she had to cancel some concerts in Las Vegas, and a few days ago attendance at an event at Dollywood, her amusement park in Tennessee. "The doctor told me I couldn't even travel," says Parton, 80, who assures that she is currently recovering from some health problems and at the same time working on "other ways to get her music" to the public, such as "performances with avatars." In fact, she is already in talks with specialized companies.
"I have been dragging some health problems that I hadn't paid enough attention to while I was taking care of Carl," explains Parton about her husband, Carl Thomas Dean, who died in March 2025 at the age of 82. "It's not the first time I've gone through difficult times related to my health, but in this era of constant 24-hour activity and social media, everything is magnified in a way it hasn't in years," adds the author of songs like I will always love you and Jolene.
