YangWang U9, the Chinese electric car with more than 3,000 hp of power

YangWang, BYD's sports and luxury subsidiary, presents the fantastic U9 Track Edition, a sports electric car with more than 3,000 hp and capable of reaching a top speed of 472.41 km/h.

That China manufactures more electric cars than any other country in the world is no secret or great news, but the Asian giant's automotive industry can now boast a truly spectacular milestone: they have become the first to manufacture a production electric vehicle with a power output of over 3,000 hp and capable of challenging supercar records in the Bu. YangWang U9 Track Edition is the sportiest and most radical version of BYD's luxury subsidiary, a vehicle capable of beating the times of many Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti or Porsche models on a track, to name a few of the illustrious names in the European automotive aristocracy.

And the new YangWang U9 Track Edition is a vehicle powered by four electric motors (one on each wheel) of 755 hp (or 555 kW, if you prefer), which reaches a total combined power of 2,220 kW, the equivalent of 3. This is the most radical evolution of the conventional U9 model, which already offered a fantastic 1,300 hp of power, and which far exceeds the performance and power of the Lotus Evija or the Rimac Refrigerator, the leading figures so far in the high-performance sports car segment.

This radical sports car uses an 80 kWh Blade LFP battery and a fast charging point of up to 500 kW that allows charging from 30% to 80% of the battery capacity in just ten minutes, and has an approved weight of around two and a half tons. This sports version also includes specific tires type slick wider and geared towards intensive use on high-speed circuits, a traction and control system specifically designed to manage the car's power, a new rear spoiler and new diffusers that improve the vehicle's aerodynamic coefficient.
