Montesa aims to remain the global benchmark in trials and has already unveiled its commercial range, aiming to maintain its leadership in its segment through 2026 with three revamped models: the Cota 4RT 301RR, the Cota 4RT 260R, and the 4Ride. It's worth noting that Montesa has announced it will discontinue the Race Replica version of the Cota 301RR for commercial and Euro 5+ homologation reasons. The Catalan brand continues to focus on four-stroke engines and motorcycles geared toward pure off-road performance, tuned for a team that incorporates and transfers its experience in the world of competition, especially that of the legendary Piera champion, Toni Bou.

Montesa's flagship model will once again be the Cota 4RT 301RR, arguably the most complete trials bike on the market. The 2026 version debuts a new livery in turquoise, magenta, and white, which have become distinctive features in the world of trials. Furthermore, the Cota 4RT 301RR retains the 298cc engine from the Trial2 World Championship competition bike, a machined fork suspension, an aluminum steering stem, a lightweight aluminum frame, carbon side guards, and high-performance petal brakes. The Cota 4RT 301RR will be the brand's most expensive model, with a retail price of €10,500.

One step below is the Cota 4RT 260R, a model that shares many mechanical and structural elements with Montesa's flagship motorcycle, but is geared toward more popular and less demanding use. It also retains the classic red, black, and white colors of the Santa Perpetua de Mogoda brand. This motorcycle will retail for €8,000 and is aimed at a broader range of potential buyers of all skill levels.

Finally, the Montesa 4Ride remains the brand's most versatile motorcycle, capable of riding both on a single section or trial track and on more uneven terrain and forest trails. It features a new exhaust and aluminum silencer to minimize environmental pollution and comply with current regulations. This entry-level trial bike also features a new side stand and black and white livery with several gold details. The 4Ride is priced at €8,250.

All Montesa models will be manufactured at the Santa Perpetua de Mogoda plant, where the technical development and manufacturing of the various components used by the Honda subsidiary in the construction of its motorcycles are carried out.

Farewell to the Cota 301RR Replica Race

This will be the first year that Montesa will not manufacture the Race Replica of the Cota 301RR, a model that was, in fact, a standard 301RR with a few upgrades, such as an aluminum steering stem that improved the bike's performance and precision. But what truly set the Race Replica apart was the use of the race bike's colors and livery, as well as the Showa-developed rear suspension. The decision to discontinue this replica has much to do with the new corporate colors of turquoise, magenta, and white that the standard Cota 301RR will use starting next year, and which promise to become a differentiating element within the Montesa range.
