The Ministry of Public Works (Fomento) is joining the winds blowing in favor of the expansion of El Prat and has lobbied Brussels to push the project forward. It has asked the Generalitat (Catalan Government) to declare it a "project of priority interest," which would speed up the processing of permits in the EU.
