Former PP politician María Dolores de Cospedal joins Naturhouse
Àngel Simón strengthens his position at Indra and Josep Oliu leaves the Puig board
María Dolores de Cospedal, former PP politician, has been hired as a counselor for Naturhouse, the company controlled by Félix Revuelta, in a week that has also been marked by Àngel Simón, who is strengthening his position in the leadership of Indra, and Josep Oliu, who is leaving the board of directors of Puig as the Catalan fragrance and cosmetics company negotiates a possible integration with the US giant in the sector, Estée Lauder.
María Dolores de Cospedal
Naturhouse Advisor
Naturhouse will address at the ordinary general shareholders' meeting, scheduled for May 29, the appointment of María Dolores de Cospedal García, former Minister of Defense, former President of Castilla-La Mancha, and former Secretary General of the PP, as an independent director. Cospedal's entry into the Naturhouse board comes amid a restructuring of the governing body, which will be put to a vote at the next meeting, and also includes the re-election of Félix Revuelta Fernández as executive director and of Vanessa Revuelta Rodríguez and Kilian Revuelta Rodríguez as directors. The appointment, as an independent, of Carmen Martín Llopis will also be addressed. As in the case of the former Secretary General of the PP, it will be for a period of four years.
Cospedal testified as a witness in the trial of the Kitchen case on April 23, Sant Jordi's Day. The former PP leader explained that she spoke with José Manuel Villarejo about the "more than founded suspicion" that the PP had of being "spied on, followed, or observed" by "someone who had to do" with the Ministry of the Interior. "I told him if he could find out if this was true," she explained.
Ángel Simón
Reinforced at Indra
Indra's board of directors agreed on Tuesday to appoint the company's president, Àngel Simón, as a member of the strategy committee and the executive delegate committee to fill the vacancies generated after the resignation of Ángel Escribano as president of the two bodies. After this decision, and once both the strategy committee and the executive delegate committee had met, Àngel Simón was appointed president of the two committees.
Thus, Simón will be a non-executive chairman of the company, unlike his predecessor, Ángel Escribano, who did have executive powers. But even so, as chairman of the strategy committee, he will have a say in the company's future plans. And as chairman of the executive delegate committee, Simón will be privy to all the company's movements in detail.
Likewise, the board convened the company's general meeting of shareholders for June 25 in Alcobendas (Madrid), where the company has its registered office. Attendance and participation in the meeting will be possible through telematic means that allow for remote and real-time connection, in accordance with the company's bylaws and the meeting's regulations.
Until May 14, shareholders may propose to the board any matters they deem appropriate to discuss or include on the meeting's agenda. Once these proposals are received, the board will analyze them and, thereafter, will establish the meeting's agenda, which it will do at the session scheduled for May 20.
Josep Oliu
Leave Puig's council
Josep Oliu, Chairman of Banco Sabadell, surprised this week with his decision to resign from the board of directors of Puig. The manner of his departure was surprising, as there was no communication. Simply on the agenda of Puig's shareholders' meeting – which will be held on May 29 and will only be accessible remotely –, in point 8.11, the acknowledgement of Josep Oliu Creus's resignation as a director was included.
Oliu, who joined Puig as a director in 2002, is leaving his position seven months before the end of his term, in December 2026, and is doing so voluntarily. Nevertheless, the also Chairman of Sabadell will continue to serve as Chairman of the board of directors of Exea, the holding and family office of the Puig family, with which he has been associated since 1992 in various roles and, since 2007, as chairman.
In mid-March, Puig announced the restructuring of its leadership. José Manuel Albesa will be CEO – the appointment also needs to be ratified by the shareholders' meeting – and Marc Puig will continue as Executive Chairman. The Catalan company is engaged in negotiations with the North American cosmetics giant Estée Lauder for a possible merger.
Gianni Vittorio Armani
New CEO of Endesa
The board of directors of Endesa approved on Tuesday the appointment of Italian Gianni Vittorio Armani as the new chief executive officer of the company, replacing José Bogas. Armani was chosen by the Italian company Enel (Endesa's main shareholder with 70% of the share capital) to lead the Spanish electricity company. Until now, he was the director of Enel Grids e Innovation. Endesa thus begins a new era with a leadership team that has Rome as its epicenter: Juan Sánchez-Calero Guilarte, Endesa's chairman, is Italian, as is the chief financial officer, Marco Palermo.
José Bogas leaves his position, closing an almost 12-year tenure as the energy company's chief executive. Bogas will become a non-executive director, but without details on who his successor will be. Bogas leaves the executive duties of a company whose transformation he has steered for over a decade – across three mandates – in a context marked by the energy transition, the promotion of renewables, and the electrification of the economy. As a non-executive director, Bogas will be able to remain linked to the company, without executive functions, but will be able to facilitate the transition to the new chief executive officer. José Bogas is one of the leading executives in the Spanish energy sector, a role he has forged over decades in the sector, with more than forty years at Endesa, due to a deep understanding of both the company and the Spanish electricity sector. He is an industrial engineer from the ICAI Higher Technical School of Engineering, where he graduated in 1978. In 1982, he joined the electricity company, which was then still a public company, as head of the market studies section in the Planning department.
Pau Molins
Molins' Counselor
The well-known criminal lawyer Pau Molins Amat will join the board of directors of the family-owned listed cement and construction company Molins. The appointment as a proprietary director of the company is planned at the shareholders' meeting convened for June 26. The appointment comes in replacement of his sister Glòria Molins Amat, who is stepping down at the age of 85, and on behalf of Noumea, one of the holding companies that articulate the participation of the different branches of the family in the group's capital.
Pau Molins belongs to the Molins Amat branch and is the youngest brother of this family lineage, which includes the company's former president Joan Molins Amat, who remains a member of the board of directors after having chaired the company between 2017 and 2025.
