The clouds will increase before the arrival of new showers

BarcelonaThe heat peaked this Friday with maximums of up to 37.4 ºC at the Riba-roja reservoir and 37 ºC in Vinebre (Ribera d'Ebre) and Aldover (Baix Ebre), but this weekend has started with less heat and the maximum values have remained around 32 or 33 ºC. This Saturday we have already noticed an increase in thin clouds, a situation that will repeat on Sunday, when we will also have low coastal clouds. Next week looks more unsettled and cooler, although still generally with a mild atmosphere.

Sunday: first changes

The weekend will end with changes in the sky. The sun will remain veiled by the passage of high and thin clouds, but on the coast, in the pre-coastal area, and in the northeast, low clouds will increase as the contribution of humidity from the sea towards land will intensify, even with some scattered light rain.

On the other hand, in the Pyrenees, afternoon clouds will grow with more vigor and will already leave some first scattered showers, although some models do not show these first precipitations. Temperatures will remain quite similar, with morning coolness and an environment warmer than what would be expected for the season in the middle of the day, even with maximum temperature values higher than those of Saturday in the Pyrenean regions.

Next week starts with changes

Throughout the coming week, instability will increase due to the passage of tails of Atlantic fronts and the arrival of colder air at high altitudes, with showers that between Monday and Tuesday will already affect many coastal areas and the eastern half, although without significant accumulations. Subsequently, more precipitation could arrive, with a progressively cooler environment that will take us away from this summery atmosphere.
