The heat peak in the interior has registered up to 43.2 ºC in Vinebre (Ribera d'Ebre). A situation that contrasts with the afternoon storms in the Pyrenees and northern Girona, stronger and more extensive than expected as a result of so much accumulated heat. Locally they bring hail or sleet, with a sudden cooling.
