Heather Locklear, the bad girl of 90s television who is experiencing a romantic second youth with Lorenzo Lamas
The lead actress of 'Melrose place' has started a romantic relationship with another television icon
In the 1990s television, Heather Locklear's face was synonymous with the wicked blonde. The actress carried this label essentially due to the character of Amanda Woodward, considered one of the great villains of Melrose Place, a hit soap opera born from another title that also made a fortune in the 90s, Beverly Hills, 90210 (broadcast in Spain as Sensación de vivir). Initially, Amanda was only supposed to have a four-episode dramatic arc, but her appearance boosted the first season's ratings and Aaron Spelling, the series' creator, decided she would become a regular character.
Locklear was part of the cast of Melrose Place until the final episode. After that series, she participated in the comedy Spin City, for which she was nominated twice for a Golden Globe for best actress in a comedy. Little by little, her presence on television has diminished to being residual. The last project in her resume is a TV movie from 2024.
After making a fortune on the small screen – before Melrose Place she was an actress in Dynasty– she decided to step away from Hollywood and live a quiet life on a large estate located in California. Despite her attempts at privacy, this year her name has once again made headlines in the gossip press. The reason for this revival is the romantic relationship she has with Lorenzo Lamas, like her, a television icon of the 80s and 90s thanks to Falcon Crest. The relationship was confirmed in June and, as has emerged, during this time the actor has taken the opportunity to accelerate the divorce from his sixth wife, Kenna Nicole Scott, from whom he separated a year ago.
