Anna Andreu says she doesn't believe in fate, but rather in pure chance, and she likes it that way because chance seems more mysterious to her than destiny. Chance, she explains, was what led her and Marina Arrufat to meet, fall in love, produce a child, and make several albums.

They met on Tinder. Marina was the first. match that Anna made, the first and last date she's had on the platform. Arriving and succeeding: "We met on a Monday and I went there dying of embarrassment. We chatted for hours and I deleted the app: we really liked each other. After a week and a half, she was carrying my bags to my house," she recalls. It was temporary, since two weeks later Marina was leaving indefinitely for Chile. "I'd been through a bad time, and for someone who dedicates themselves to classical music, it always happens that Europe suddenly becomes too small. I wanted to go and spread the fog, who knows for how long," explains the singer. In the end, it was three weeks. "It was good that she didn't cancel the trip; I didn't want her to change her plans for me, but the truth is that we spent those three weeks chatting and Marina decided to come back."

That was eight years ago, and they were both at a more or less similar point. "I was quitting music because I was feeling a little burned out, and she was recovering from a shoulder injury and couldn't play the violin much." Marina encouraged her to keep writing songs, and Anna listened. One day, when they were both feeling a little weak, they decided to take a rehearsal space and spend some time together. "Marina had explained to me that as a teenager she had played drums in a ska band. Since she couldn't play the violin, we could have some fun together."

At that time they did not imagine that they would record three albums together and that for the last one, Vigil (Hidden Track Records), they should combine rehearsals with motherhood with their first child, Ovidio. "Being a mother has been very beautiful, we're also very tired and devastated," says the singer happily, adding: "I'm 37 years old, I'm a lesbian, and now it's much more normalized for me, but I spent my adolescence thinking it would be impossible for me to meet someone with whom I could build a life." With Marina, she has discovered "that love is like when you like each other at a concert and you feel like you could stay and live on stage, because it's a safe, welcoming, and expansive place."
